  • Spectrum Fudge

    Three Birch Trees LLC has established an employer partnership with Spectrum Fudge, whose mission is “Crafting Chocolate. Creating Opportunities.” Spectrum Fudge is a small business located in the eastern part of Pittsburgh, crafting gourmet fudge locally by individuals on the autism spectrum. They have made a nationwide impact by increasing their online sales across the country in just under a year. Spectrum Fudge provides opportunities for students within local school districts to come into their space and learn alongside members of 3BT their process, including what it is to work as a fudge crafter. They provide vocational training at their work site to further develop the skills of our youth, knowing these individuals will be there to take on all of our future missions successfully!

  • CVS

    Three Birch Trees LLC, CVS, and OVR recently partnered to create a Community Work Instruction (CWI) experience to transition aged students within Allegheny County. The students experience an externship program at CVS, learning essential vocational skills to prepare them for competitive employment. Students receive on the job training while at CVS, as well as educational development opportunities in areas related to work readiness development.

  • Pittverse Community

    Three Birch Trees LLC is proud to host and include the Pittverse Community (formerly known as Pittverse Magazine). Pittverse Community, located in Pittsburgh, PA, is a social group of neurodiverse individuals who focus on creative media.

    Through the Pittverse Community website, pittverse.org, members develop blogs, articles, op-ed’s, interviews, poetry, music/ film reviews, photography, and podcasts, which are then posted onto the website for all to enjoy. Members work on creative media content both individually and in groups. Monthly member meetings are held, as well as community get-togethers to build upon social skills and friendship. Pittverse Community truly is a “place to belong.”

    The website brings inclusion and awareness to the community on neurodiversity. The hope is that the entire community of Pittsburgh and beyond can subscribe to weekly for new content and resources.

    One of 3BT Co-Founders, Brian Kluchurosky, founded Pittverse in 2013 and has worked in the forefront of this community for over a decade, providing a tight-knit supporting network for new and existing writers. Pittverse Community is managed by a group of volunteers who share the same mission and incorporate inclusion and understanding for all into their daily lives. Our administrative team consists of Emily Chalupczynski and Melissa Sodano (3BT Co-Founders) as well as Cal Clark and Ida Blevins of Uniquely the Same. As a team, we meet and support the writers of this community both in person and virtually multiple times per month to encourage more creative growth and opportunities for social engagement.

  • Dr. Russ Johnson

    Three Birch Trees LLC works in partnership with Dr. Russ Johnson Ph.D, who developed the ICONz® to enhance social skills training.

    Dr. Johnson has been a licensed psychologist and nationally certified school psychologist with over 30 years of experience. He was adjunct faculty at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, The School of Rehabilitation Science and Technology at the University of Pittsburgh and a Visiting Researcher at the Boys Town Center for the Study of Youth Development. He received his Ph.D. in Psychology from Peabody College at Vanderbilt University.

    The ICONz® are a proven model of social skill development designed to help individuals learn to navigate everyday changes/ challenges in a productive and practical way.

    Three Birch Trees is certified in the ICONz® and offers this as a part of its social skills training to individuals and groups.
