Transforming lives, one skill at a time:
Adapting to everyday life in a fast-paced world can be challenging.
We are here to help.
What we’re about
Three Birch Trees “3BT” is a small social services company located in Allegheny County. At 3BT, we specialize in vocational training through the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) for transition-aged youth*. Additionally, we provide comprehensive social skills training for individuals of all ages in both one-on-one and group settings. Our founders are master’s level clinicians with more than 20 years of experience supporting and transferring skills to members of the Pittsburgh community and beyond.
We have two areas of speciality
Vocational Training
3BT is a provider through the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR). Our focus is on helping transition-aged youth learn pre-employment skills that are essential when seeking competitive employment. Youth have the opportunity to experience paid instructional cohorts at an approved work site learning crucial skills within self-advocacy and soft-skill development.
Social Skills Training
Three Birch Trees LLC also offers individual support and regular social skills groups through the option of private pay, with in-person and virtual options available. By becoming increasingly self-aware of who they are as a person and how their actions impact others, our hope is that individuals will gain control of their social encounters by learning a consistent strategy for handling everyday adversity. The result will be a life of increased ease so that individuals may successfully plan and achieve their desires of vocation, friendship, independence, self-advocacy, and fulfillment.
What our clients are saying:
Anna A. - Student
"I enjoyed the entire experience. I liked staying busy during the summer. Emily, Melissa and Brian were really nice to work with."
Mike - Client
“Before I started working with Brian, it was very hard for me to get my creativity, that side of me to show through because most businesses frown upon that. But ever since I hooked up with Brian at Pittverse, not only have I been able to show it, but I’ve become part of a much larger community that’s enabled me to show through.”
Steven F. - Client
“Brian K. strides as an outstanding behavioral clinician providing additional understandings on intellectual disabilities at my firm. My experiences working with Brian have further enhanced my social mannerisms and professional skills through trainings offered through the ICONz Program. I have gained more insight into learning how to talk to my peers at managerial levels of thinking as well as learning to make necessary changes to satisfy the needs of the workplace. Without Brian and his years of leadership and critical thinking techniques, my perceptions on thinking highly of my managers and team members would remain unclear.”
